Seems straightforward to me. I don’t see a problem.

You could have a series of cartoons with the man holding a fast food hamburger with the shadow of a hanging rope, maybe a beer with the shadow of a shotgun or knife, or a piece of steak with the shadow of death with a scythe.

looks good & true to me, not so bad, geez

So, Shane…your email sent along the five essential fat burning foods for women. What about a list for the men?

Apparently Chris has not read the stupid diet myth #4.

Too graphic for whom? I don’t see the problem as it indeed explains what is happening and there is no suggestion that you do it. Quite the contrary it tell you NOT to commit susicide

it will only be offensive to people that are fat cows and people that consume their weight in sugar.

This cartoon is perfect for the days we’re living in. People need to be shocked to pay attention to their health.
Perhaps some people may be having problems with the link because they don’t have IE8 yet, just a suggestion.

This a very good drawing[the artist,Bob? knows his life drawing skills.] Both darks and lights are well balanced and easy to view.Nothing offensive in this cartoon.
PS.Also like this new website.

What about an indicator for another killer, “SALT,” and the overuse of it!

Death by gun is pretty quick. Death by sugar is gradual. The picture is not too graphic for me, but death by sugar is slow and most people won’t or don’t want to get the message. Rather than a gun, try something else, like slowly being chocked to death, or being squeezed to death by a python. Anything that pictures a slow, tortuous death–say, being diabetic and slowly losing limbs, etc.

It’s the “high fructose corn syrup” is far more poiseness. One reason mey be that most corn is genetically modified. Having read a bit about it, GM foods tend to be contaminated with weed killers

The cartoon is spot on. Too many people are unaware of the hidden dangers.

If it’s the truth, which it is, it can’t be offensive. Shane, you always tell it like it is!
Lonna 10:21 am on July 23, 2009
You are a direct “say it like it is” kind of guy….so is the cartoon. If it is to graphic for the overly sensitive…so be it. My vote…use it.
Scollay 8:52 am on July 24, 2009
You tell it how it is Shane. Keep driving the message home and wake people up. If anything , the image doesn’t go far enough.
People need to know that the foods they put in their mouths CAN kill them.

Good image, Shane. This message is clear. We are managing to destroy our youth as well as ourselves with sugar (and lots of other processed foods). They will do what we do.
Keep talkin’, Baby! Eventually, folks will get the message!

Curious though…what do YOU use to sweeten your food? I don’t use sugar, but I don’t like black coffee, so I use evaporated cane juice. Is there something I should use instead?
