2 Tips for Skyrocketing Your Metabolism
Boosting metabolism (the conversion of fat to either heat or physical energy) relies on controlling an intricate balance of hormones such as insulin, leptin, IGF-1 and hGH as well as a family of fat burning molecules known as "catecholamines." Once done, your body becomes a fat burning and muscle bulding machine.
1. First and foremost, success rests in eating a breakfast LOADED with healthy fats and proteins. You cannot skip breakfast. My favorite morning meal is an organic avocado, two hard boiled eggs and Whey Advanced mixed with blue green algae and purified water. Without breakfast, you become a metabolic retard - your body stores fat and melts muscle. Minimizing refined sugars and simple carbohydrates in all future meals is mandatory.
2. And finally, drinking up to 16 ounces of water prior to meals can put our metabolism into overdrive thanks to its positive effect on thermogenesis (the conversion of fat to heat).

I agree with eating a good healthy breakfast every day. I usually have a raw cheese, egg and organic spinach omelet every morning. However I slow cook this food on low heat in coconut oil which helps thermogenesis. If you drink all that water just prior to a meal, aren’t you diluting your digestive enzymes required to digest all of that protein and fat?

Shane, I noticed you said you put Blue Algae in your Whey Protein, why and were can you find Blue Algae?

Hi Deloris, That is a great breakfast. The water will not prevent digestive enzymes from doing their job.
Erick,
Your local health food store should have it. You have to mix it with Whey Adanced and water, otherwise it will not go into solution. You’ll love this POWER SHAKE bro. Check out all the nutrients it carries here:

I was wondering how much Protein & Fat a healthy breakfast should contain? You said breakfast “Should be Loaded”, What exactly is “Loaded”? What is the best ratio of protein & fat for breakfast? Can you give me some numbers ( Grams & calories )as an example?

Heather,
The ratio varies. It depends on age, weight, activity level, place of residents, and sun exposure. But as a general rule, I advocate 40% healthy fat, 40% protein and 20% low glycemic load carbohydrates.

There are so many “greens” and green drinks. Is blue green algae, or blue algae, better than spiralina? I eat a lot of nuts with breakfast along with avocados and eggs. Are dry roasted OK or as good as raw?
Love your book, attitude, site, and am so grateful for your help!

Thanks kristhiana! I appreciate it.
Spirulina is a trade name for blue green algae. I prefer raw over roasted because heat can sometimes damage nutrients - depending on temperature.

Hello,
For breakfast I normally have a smoothie.
1 cup Greek Yogurt
1 banana
1/2 avocado
tsp. cinnamon
Tbsp. Coconut oil
2 Tbsp. Super Food+
2 Tbsp. Salba Seeds (gelled)
Splash or more of raw milk
Blend and enjoy!
Usually keeps me going for about 4 hours.
How does that sound for a good breakfast??
Thanks,
Sher
