All Natural Deep Sleep Aid: Sleep Like a Drunken Bum
May 29th, 2008
Beware of my wife’s loud, sarcastic laugh. I almost fell asleep while she figured out how to use the camera. We usually have our 6 year old daughter run the technical operations, but she was sleeping.
Here is the recipe for those who can’t hear the audio:
Folic acid 800 mcg in morning (if over 200lbs, then 1200mcg)
2 hours before planned bedtime:
Ribose 5 grams (if over 200lbs, then 7.5 grams)
SerotoninFX (1 capsule per 50lbs of body weight)
Valerian (1 500mg capsule per 50lbs of bodyweight)
Stir in with purified water. Drink. Sleep like a drunken bum.
Wake up feeling energized and refreshed.

Shane:
It would be helpful to list the ingredients your speaking about in the video - I caught 2 of 4 but unclear on others.

My neighbor is not doing well and she told me that she has not been sleeping well for the past 2 weeks and is feeling depressed. This was just yesterday. Sometime after talking to her, I checked my emails, and there was the reality tv link for sleeping like a drunken bum & then the laugh…lol! Thanks for posting the recipe. I really hope she can benefit from it. She told me she currently takes diabetic, cholesterol, and high blood pressure meds. The “doctors” had also prescribed her some kind of anti depressant, but she said it didn’t agree with her, so she discontinued usage after 5 days, thank goodness! It just snowballs out of control!

Shane I have a few questions:
I love your reality tv! This sleep aide will help my husband get a good night’s rest. Thank you for sharing it.
I do have looming questions. When you say “If it tastes sweet spit it out,” do you mean to refrain from all carbohydrates or just items that have added sugars? For example, sweet potatoes are sweet, do I spit them out? (low Glycemic Index food) and, conversely, there’s white bread (Hi Glycemic index) which is not sweet to the taste, but basically equals putting a spoon full of sugar in your mouth. I want to follow your recommendations, but I need some guidance. Can you help me?

Shane,
Your information is unsurpassed. I have to give you a pat on the back. What you do here is selfless for the most part. I ‘ve enjoyed your newsletter for sometime now and am thankful that you left big pharma to branch out on your own. Keep up the great work.
I have a question for you. What’s your opinion on Shaklee?

I hope you can answer my question. I’m not seeing answers to other questions posted here so I hope you do answer it…
I’m ready to order the AM-PM Fat Loss Discovery Package but I’m also interested in the Serotonin FX. Should I purchase the Serotonin FX if I purchase the AM-PM Fat Loss Discovery Package or does the Fat Loss package do what the Serotonin FX does?
Also, the coupon code “new client” does not work…
Thank you for your help!

Hi! Me again… =) For whatever reason I bought GABA instead of Valerian. Is that okay or should I not use it and instead purchase Valerian? Thank you!!
July 26th, 2008 at 9:38 am
Hi! Thank you for the answer via email! I figured I blew it, I guess the reason I bought GABA was because he described Valerian as a GABA. I don’t know what I was thinking, probably a sign that I really do need the sleep of a drunken bum! Thank you for your quick response, I’ll get the Valerian ordered. Thank goodness for Amazon 2 day shipping!! Have a great day! Diane

I ordered the sleep aid. Question: Have you ever heard that taking an anti inflamatory helps in the efficacy of a sleep aid? I’ve had some success with this… I’ve been using ibproffin when I take telatonon, or my ambian. I’m thinking about trying white willow instead. As you can see, I’ve tried many supplements and even prescription aids. Nothing keeps me asleep. However, the use of ibproffin along with these aids has delivered good results. Love to know you r thoughts. And if white willow is safe to use with your sleep aid. BTW — I’m not using the anti inflamatory for pain. Only to enhance the efficacy of the sleep aid.

that much valerian?! It will make my heart pound like crazy. One pill, not one pill per 50 lb weight…ack!

another question, how does this combination work with mentally ill individuals? Because of chemical differences in their brains, what kinds of responses could a person with bipolar or depression expect? thanks

Very interesting regarding your prescription for sleep, however, do you know what causes thyroid nodules? I have lost a lot of weight, muscle mass, and surgery is near. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. Thank you Mr. Chemist
