Vaccine Myths Exposed: Healthy Jab or Deadly Stab?

June 15th, 2008

Vaccines are purported to work by triggering immunity. It is “thunk” by the experts that by exposing our immune system to weak or dead infectious agents, such as measles or a flu virus, that it creates the appropriate defense.  This logic has been used to defend the use of every vaccine to date.  And each one has proven that the theory is nothing more than mental masturbation for nerdy scientists; it sounds good and feels better, but it’s not the real thing.  At best, vaccines only boost our defenses 30% of the time, which hardly compensates for the myriad of potential side effects.  Few people are aware of – or willing to accept - these cold, hard facts.

I have an 11 year old who is “due” for her vaccines. Her pediatrician is all over me to get them done. He keeps mentioning the meningitis vaccine and has put fear in my heart for my daughter and this dreaded illness. What are your thoughts regarding her exposure to this.

Hear ye, Hear ye! People, pay attention to this chemist and what he just said. Ever wonder why allergies and food sensitivities seem to be ever increasing in prevalence? I know I did after our first son was born and he had terrible rashes(inflammation) all over his body, was very mucousy, had blood in his stools, and later had speech delay. Basically, it appears as though his immune system had gone haywire somewhere, and I don’t care what disease you parade in front of me anymore. If we would of added immunizations on top of that, who knows, maybe our son would of declined into an ‘unexplainable’ autistic state. We have been experimentally messing with our immune systems here, and in turn, our own children’s immune systems. For thousands of years we never tampered with them in such a manner as we do with vaccines today. Think perhaps there is a correlation here worth pondering?!?

Duh! At the time we were doing all this research into allergies and the immune system, our children’s pediatrician was raising the concern about cases of the whooping cough outbreak she was seeing at her clinic in our area. I asked if these kids had recieved their vaccinations. She informed me that they all had. There appeared to be problem with them losing their effectiveness as time wore on. She also wanted to make it clear to me that if our baby caught it and couldn’t breath and died there would be nothing she could do. We had to do our homework and weigh the various risks vs benefits. After reading a study about children who had dairy intolerance and the high number of instances where they also had very dangerous reactions to vaccines, we decided it just wasn’t worth the risks it posed to vaccinate against diseases that he might never get or could get anyways. We also concluded that we actually weaken the body’s natural immune systems by tampering with them through vaccination by following these recommended schedules and that they could probably pose immune health risks to our future posterity. So yes, although these vaccinations may offer a limited defense against the diseases they are marketed to protect us from, they have not proven safe enough for me to feel they warrant the potential risks they pose to our overall health. For future generations, I wish I would of understood this sooner, but better late than never. BTW, our first son is now three and thriving. His immune system appears to be normalizing quite a bit, and we were able to take everything we have learned to make wiser health decisions with our second son that was concieved a year after him.

Doris, Let not your heart be troubled. Instead of letting a ‘dr’ fear monger you into making an ill informed decision, why not google vaccine dangers. I know you will find a plethora of information that your child’s pediatrician will probably never tell you while fear mongering about vaccines. That is exactly what me and my husband did as we were beginning to realize how insanely imbalanced the practice of western medicine can be. Here’s an internet address to start you on your journey towards finding better insight and understanding about the controversies over these issues that effect everyone’s over all well being and health… http://www.trackingvaccinations.com/ . Then, only once you are confident in your understanding of the issues should you make your decision. I would not fear delaying a meningitis vaccine nearly as much as I would fear my own ignorance before allowing someone to inject foreign substances of which I have no way of even verifying the effects of the contents into my child’s arm.

Thank you Heather. It is good to hear of someone else who has made these same decisions. I am literally the only one in my circle of friends and neighbors who is even questioning the use of immunizations, amongst other things (i.e. prescription drugs). Keep up the fight! ;)

I can only imagine that your doctor was not very happy with your decision not to vaccinate. Did you have a hard time with the legal aspects, as my daughter attends public school

Ask your doctor if he knows his vaccine history.

Polio is the most feared childhood illness. It has caused paralysis and death for much of human history. The world experienced a dramatic increase in polio cases beginning in 1910. Frequent epidemics became regular events. They were the impetus for a "Great Race" towards the development of a polio vaccine. It was developed in 1953 and an oral version soon after. Yet, unbeknownst to most, polio infection plummeted before the vaccines were introduced – thanks to better sanitation and nutrition. Good thing, because both forms were a total failure. In addition to causing the very same infection they were supposed to prevent – polio – they can also lead to sudden death and cancer. The polio virus still exists today. But few of us suffer from it. Our protection resides in the same things that were responsible for its decline; a healthy immune system courtesy of proper sanitation and nutrition.

This same scenario was repeated in the case of the whooping cough (pertussis) vaccine. Between the years of 1900 and 1935, mortality rates due to whooping cough dropped by 79% in the U.S. Yet, the vaccine wasn’t introduced until 1940 (DTP and DTaP). Today, those most susceptible to whooping cough are the “immunized.” In 2002, researchers with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention publicly stated that “The number of infants dying from whooping cough, once a major killer of children in the United States, is rising despite record high vaccination levels in the nation.”

The measles vaccine is no different. In 1957, the MMR vaccine became widely used in an effort to eradicate measles, mumps and rubella. Rather than prevent measles, it elicited a widespread epidemic. Between 1983 and 1990, there was a 423% increase in measles cases among those vaccinated. Today, the World Health Organization (WHO) actually warns that vaccinated individuals are 14 times more likely to contract this disease compared to the unvaccinated.

The Centers for Disease Control insisted that the MMR vaccine would also eliminate mumps in the US by the year 2010. Then, in 2006, the largest mumps outbreak in 20 years occurred. Among those who suffered from mumps, 63% were “immunized.”

From its inception to now, the flu vaccine has proven just as worthless. In 2007, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that the flu vaccine had “no or low effectiveness” against influenza or influenza-like illness. The analysis of data showed that the vaccine protected from zero to fourteen percent of vaccine participants.

Considering the overt failure of vaccination, the idea of main lining an ineffective and dangerous vaccine into our vulnerable children is chilling. Regardless, Big Pharma is hell bent on pushing more. Be forewarned, each and every vaccine will follow the same ineffective trend simply because they work against our immune system, not with it.

Vaccines will never be the panacea they are marketed as. Fortunately, as long as a child has proper eating and sanitation, their immune system can ward off biological threats.

This is health made simple. But, in a society hell-bent on trading health for wealth, it is often over looked; just like the history that teaches, “Vaccines don’t protect children.”  That’s why doctors have to resort to fear in order to sell the deadly stab.

Thank you Shane! I so appreciate your extensive knowledge and dedication to getting the correct, science based information out to those who are looking for a way out of pharmaceutical madness. THANK YOU!

  9. Heather

Well, now that you mention it, Doris…

We have encountered no legal problems at all. We do still, at this time (wonder how government sponsored socialized medicine could impact this???), have the right as parent’s to refuse vaccinations for our children. Our family is not required to file any paperwork with the state schools because we have chosen a homebased educational method over the public education model for our children.

I was emboldened in my stance through research that led to our understanding of what was in the best interest of our family and was expecting some negative feedback from others, including the pediatrician. I walked in her office with our then current reasons and data causing our concerns, especially in light of the symptoms from the way our son’s immune system had been performing. We had started to become suspicious of the childhood vaccine practice, and therefore decided to delay vaccinations until we could look into the matter further. I was definately the more resistant of the two to reaching an understanding of the dangerous risks vs limited benefits vaccines offer than my husband. Of course I had a hard time believing this would be happening if such were true, until the facts and obvious conclusions just became undisputable and proved me ignorant.

She disappointed us on her insistance about the safety of vaccination in spite of it, and maintained her position that vaccination was still a good idea for children according to the reccommended schedules. She even presented an argument or two that I wasn’t prepared to answer at that time and went and printed something off the computer about vaccine safety myths and handed it to me, and probably dismissed it as misguided. That only served to make me more determined to research the issues all the more. I am now personally convinced vaccines are not anywhere near as safe as they are percieved to be by the general public based on all the data I’ve seen, so it doesn’t worry me if she is annoyed by our stance. I actually hope it causes others to question the practice more. She respected our decisions and performed in her profesion as she was trained to.

I wish I could tell you many others embraced our concerns, but usually they were too quick to label it as weird, conspiratorial kookiness. Many felt too busy, lazy or content with lies and ignorance to look for and deal with the the data themselves, although a few have begun to question the safety of vaccination and been willing to admit perhaps they are more dangerous and risky than they had previuosly imagined.

I do not trust corrupt pharmeceutical companys and politicians to look out for my children’s best interests. Some think that makes me whatever they think that makes me, but there is overwhelming evidence for one’s skeptism of their ethics if anyone is inclined to look.

FYI…Here was a website I recently came across that is helpful in educating others about legal and safety issues involving vaccination… http://www.nvic.org/ .

  11. Doris

Heather - Thank you so, so much for sharing your experiences and knowledge. I am going to put off the vaccines and dig deeper. I too have felt that most (actually everyone I have spoken with) people are too busy, lazy or content with what the doctors tell them. Most of us have been taught to trust our doctors and never challenge their decisions over our own bodies, so that in itself is a mental battle. I am so glad your son is doing so well now. That, in and of itself should be a shining example for the doctors to see. Hmmmmm. Where is their natural curiosity. Are they mindlessly accepting what they are told? Apparently! With Gratitude, Doris

  12. Heather

    Kudos to you, Doris!

Our children are suffering the very real and horrible consequences of this and it is through educating ourselves about these dangerous risks, and in turn others that we can and do make a difference.

My husband and I are personally grateful to everyone paving the way to revealing the truth about vaccinations and their impact on our health. If it wasn’t for them, in my heart I know our children would be worse off, especially our Daniel. It is because of such people that I can gaurantee you will find a plethora of information. I know the data is out there and the truth is becoming more defined and clearer to those who see it.

  13. Heather

    PS Doris,

Most of us don’t even question our own decisions that affect our bodies, so why would we question the doctors?!? That is a dangerous way to be and it’s destroying our quality of life and dealing out the final death blow much too quickly.

I the more I learn, the more I want to know. The big picture is out there.

Dr. Tim O’Shea has written extensively about this scam at www.thedoctorwithin.com. A must read site for vaccine info.

  15. Heather

    James,

I never stumbled across his site before, but now that I have, I am simply unable to stop reading the chapters when ever I happen upon the chance. Thank you for recommending it.

    Children on statins!?

I vote for this for stinky sulfur award.

What are your recommendations for what to do instead of having the flu shot? When I get the flu I end up with bronchitis and get very very ill. What are you suggestions to help me to deal with this?

    Thank you!

My daughter is 12yo and has never been immunised. She has also never had any so-called childhood illnesses. Could be the many years of breastfeeding and that she has my immunities. What bothers me most is that folks think that just because the medical and education “authorities” tell you that your child cannot attend school without being vaccinated, they believe it without question.
