Bring Out the Beautiful Confident Woman You Are
November 12th, 2008
Hi ladies it’s Lea-Ann, Shane’s wife. Three more days until I’m on the stage!
We are heading to Denver in the morning for The Rocky Mountain Figure Championship. It is my second Figure competition. And I have to admit, standing on stage in an itty bitty bathing suit with bright lights and all eyes on me makes me nervous. I have to hold all of my muscles tight in mandatory poses for up to 20 minutes and at the same time have a pretty smile.
The sport of Figure is a contest in which the woman is judged on muscular symmetry, tone, poise and beauty. It is like a pageant for muscle gals. It takes a tremendous amount of dedication, a smart diet that includes supplements, and heavy, heavy weights!
I decided to enter my first show at the encouragement of my dear friend Tina. Tina happens to be a mother of three, a Grandmother of one, and competed in her first show at age 49 placing second in her division. After watching Tina take the stage, I knew this is what I wanted to do. Her confidence and self worth shined. She had something all to herself!
As a Mom, you can’t even sneak into the restroom for 30 seconds without being summoned by a child, or husband that needs something. Sometimes, it feels as though we are living our lives for others, not ourselves. Competing in Figure gave me a new goal that was all about me! And I encourage every Mom to make goals for themselves so that they can have the same!
I am not saying that all Moms need to compete in Figure. But I am saying that you need to set a fitness goal and do whatever it takes to reach it. Do it for yourself, no one else! If I can stand on stage in front of thousands, you can set a fitness goal. Once you achieve it, you’ll feel like you finally have something that belongs to you. And you’ll be the confident, beautiful woman that you are.
Tell me your goals and let me know when you’ll achieve them. Ill post pics and updates on how the big day went!

Shane,
I appreciate the fine products you are offering, but the trashy comments and language used in your ads are far below the level of professionalism also claimed in your ads. Just no need for trashy language, friend.

Ira Allen

Lea-Ann,
I am SO proud of you and just want to say thank you for inspiring me. With the tips you’ve already given me - from your jump squats to ThermoFx - I am noticing BIG changes in my body and in my mood, too! Thank you for being such an inspiration to women everywhere and for reminding us that perseverance pays great dividends!

I’m fine with Shane’s language as it represents freedom of speech. It’s the context of language that’s often overlooked when determining real meaning and intent. Shane is real and his language just plainly exudes this.

Sorry James, but I agree totally with Ira. I love the products, have had success with them, love Shane and Lea-Ann, but am embarrassed at trashy language and will not pass it on to my friends whom I know do not want it in their lives, either. Freedom of thought and speech is one thing; discrimination is another. My friends and I are looking for the high Life - clean, fresh, uplifting beautiful. Trash just doesn’t fit in. So, I have chosen not to forward or inform through those, even though the products are great, other than instructions and information verbally. We don’t judge, but choose what we want in our lives. Trash isn’t one of those. You guys are so great! Like Ira said, you just don’t need it, friend.

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. I think it’s gold.

I’m glad to see the support and the comments! Lea-Ann worked her ass off and it has clearly paid off.
Look for her at the Arnold in March, 2009. I’ll be posting some more of her fit, sexy secrets here on the blog.
The products have been a phenomenal hit in the short time they have been out. Tens of thousands have beat obesity, diabetes and pain while abstaining from drugs. I love it. Oh yea, and people all over the country are sleeping like drunken bums thanks to SerotoninFX.

Hi. I recently read your husband’s article “FOUR AGGRESSIVE APPROACHES TO WARDING OFF CANCER” where he lists whey isolate as a source of flavonids. Does soy protein isolate offer the same benefits?
Thanks,
Linda

Whey isolate as a source of flavanoids? Hell no. Go back and read the article again.
