Vimeo is so much better babe. Great job! You look fantastic.

  2. Tom

I’ll be watching for the appearance of this book… very much anticipated! A suggested topic might be on how to effectively smooth out the “pumper” (heart) and achieve/maintain appropriate blood pressure levels, beat rate and serum composition in a safe, yet efficient manner.

  3. ghostwriter

Best wishes for the success of your new book.
I would like to hear more myth and hype busting. For example, I am hearing so much about alkaline diets as the way to prevent diabetes, cancer etc. Is it chemically possible for the body’s alkalinity to be changed by taking in more alkaline-producing foods? Please discuss the chemical basis for proving/disproving this.
    Thanks.

  4. J. Cox

    Shane,

You are such a good teacher and health advocate. We are really looking forward to your new book!

I’d love to know more about the WHYs of things. Like how you demonstrated the cell using the apple in one of your PC videos.

Here are my 2 topic ideas. Why Splenda and alternative sweeteners (even agave nectar) are bad for you and which ones (like Stevia) you give props to and why.

All about the thyroid, the increasing epidemic of hypothyroidism and how/why your AM/PM fat loss benefits a low-functioning thyroid.

  5. Jay W.

A good topic suggestion would be hydrogen peroxide since all the hype from the One Minute Cure.

  6. Traci

This may not play into your new book but since you know a lot about supplements and you are a father what about a topic concerning pre-natal vitamins especially whether or not ALL preggies should take extra iron as too much iron can lead to pre & neo-natal hemachromatosis which is almost always fatal.

  7. Virginia Roberson

I choose Natural Cures. I am allergic to a lot of medications and I am always looking for natural alternatives. I also like your explanations of why and how something works.

  8. Diane

Topics: overcoming addictions in their many forms

staying consistently motivated to get on and stick with healthy habits

  9. Linda

Great Shane. I will be looking forward to the new book..
You always have great topics but one that never can be said enough is the importance of nutrition and supplements for complete health.. Stressing all the toxic chemicals in the American Standard Diet (SAD)..

What’s your opinion of cow’s milk: pasteurized, homogenized… and even RAW. (I live in Florida where raw milk is illegal.)

Also, I was with my daughter and her family up in Virginia this past week. We went out to a upscale restaurant on Father’s Day evening and she ordered for her 8-year-old son a huge pretzel for his dinner. That’s it!… oh, except for some special mustard sauce for him to dip it in. YIKES!! My daughter and her family are big into LOW FAT, lots of cereal or bagels, pasta, and if they ever have eggs, it’s Egg Beaters.

And of course pasteurized, homogenized LOW FAT milk is an important part of her whole family’s diet… you know, for strong bones.

One more: What do you think of water ionizers/alkalinizers?

  11. kathy

More info on how fat controls our hormones. And how hormones like insulin and leptin play a role in using body fat for fuel. Which in turn makes us more lean. And age less if our body is receptive to these two hormones.

  12. Stephanie

I would like your take on breast health…I think mammography is over-hyped and potentially dangerous due to radiation, so I would like to know alternatives (like thermography, etc.). I also would like info on vaccinations and how those as well are potentially harmful. A couple of other ideas are the debate concerning soy and how to take care of your pet’s health (i.e. healthy diets for pets)…thanks!

  13. Jan

Congrats on the new book! How about the bio-identical hormone craze pushed by Suzanne Somers, Robin McGraw & others. Expensive, is it worth it?? Also Type 1 Diabetics get left in the cold on weight loss help & natural helps, always about type 2′s. Thank you, Jan

  14. Andrea

What are your thoughts on candida, parasites, cleansing of the gall bladder, liver, colon, etc.

  15. Chris

I would like to see a discussion of the importance of eating organic grass-fed lean beef and organic free-range chicken and why they are so much better for you than the antibiotic-laden grocery store chain meat. I don’t believe the majority of people understand what the antibiotics and steroids used to raise livestock and chickens really does to your body..i.e. increased estrogen in men, reduced testosterone, and the dangers of bacteria like e-coli.

  16. Lory

So how about more about what to do if you are on thyroid medicine. ESPECIALLY if you have lost your thryoid at a young age to cancer. I wonder at all times if western med is ignoring the rest of my glandular system. I HAVE NOT been able to find one source of information for people with true thyroid disease. I don’t consume coke and donuts and yet my weight goes up yearly…I eat mostly organic and unpackaged foods. I know I need more strenuous exercise, but find it hard to get past the fatigue.

  17. Heidi

    This looks great!

As for a topic to explore, how about the dangers of convenience foods, the kind you buy in the freezer section or Meal In A Box foods. These all have MSG, HFCS and toxic preservatives, along with way too much sodium…bad stuff that destroys health.

And along with the polemics, bring ideas for good whole foods.

    blessings, Heidi

  18. Ry

Explain why two people have the same health issue, use the same protocol, one experiences results, the other worse.

Cleaning vegetables: Do you prefer hydrogen peroxide, grapefruit seed extract with sea salt, plain water …

Building muscle mass for the elderly.

  19. Judie W

Medicines side effects and problems with interactions. How to safely replace drugs with natural supplements.

  20. Robert Loyd

I would like to know what to do for dandruff. Also I have a bad case of sinus inflammation and have no idea what to do.

I’m a senior lady who has instinctivly known that Big Parma was a rattlesnake in the den of our lives.I have not been to a Doctor for over 30 years. They think I’m a quack, I thing they are quack’s so we are even. It seems to me that from what I see with my friends that DO go to Doctor’s is that they are pretty much just experimented on with one med after another at great costs to their wallet and health. I am particularly interested in Bio-oxidative Therapies and EFT. Any comment? I really appreciate your newsletter so please continue your wonderful work.

  22. steve hudson

remember reading a year or so ago about how fish oil plus some crap found in molasses from sugar beets did better in tests at lifting people’s depression than pharmacorp poisons. I couldn’t find a source of sugarbeet molasses. If you could find info about this and pass it on, I’m sure many would be interested, depressed or not

anything good and natural for nail fungus, too. my doc recommended vics vaporub

  23. Cali D

Can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait for your book. I think the biggest and darkest cloud over everyone is cancer. In my own research flax seed lignans have been found to displace estrogen when it is over abundant, thus reducing breast cancer risk along with reducing any prostrate cancer risk as well. It has also been shown to prevent and even reverse atherosclerosis as well as show a significant reduction of plaque build up in the arterial walls. In the post menopausal woman the flax seed lignans have a sort of chemo-protective effect too.

Flax seed and flax seed lignans….your thoughts Shane?

In response to the question regarding raw milk….once our family switched to raw milk, (live in California where it is legal) my daughter had a very noticeable improvement in being able to resist illness. Was once sick constantly….has not been sick in a year. Probably also has to do with a change to coconut oil which kills viruses as well as strep bacteria etc. etc. etc.

  24. Heidi

    Hi I’m changing mine

I’d like to hear more about how the supplement industry tries to hype us using false information about nutrients, body systems (pH stuff for instance) …common sense application of good nutrition vs. fear mongering from the supplement industry which markets itself as holistic when it’s just a “natural” version of a pill to make you shed fat or whatever. thanks.

this is my final answer! ha!

  25. Kristy Emmert

    Hi Shane,
I would like to see something natural for joint pain in your book…maybe a rub or something to take naturally.
Also, I would like to see something that could protect and strengthen our immune system naturally. Even a natural whitening toothpaste.

    Ok, there’s my suggestions.

    Kristy

  26. Jenny

How about increasing numbers of people diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological problems? Is it diet, toxins, or over medicated for other ailments?

Also, why are so many people getting kidney stones these days. It used to be fairly rare, and now practically 1/2 the people I know have had them repeatedly. Thankfully not me!

  27. Jennifer

It seems that more and more women have a hard time getting pregnant or have miscarriages. What are the causes…a high-glycemic diet, all the toxins/growth hormomes we’re exposed to, or stress? I would like information that I can forward on.

  28. Bill

I know you helped your mom change her health and lifestyle. I’d like to know a good plan for helping my mom do the same – a plan that could overcome her objections about almost being 70, etc.

I think something like this is very much needed for men and women who are advanced in years and are interested in getting healthier, but just don’t know where to start or what to do. Thanks!

  29. Kelly S

I would like to see more information on high cholesterol. The cause and what to do. I’ve hear several sides to this problem, but am unsure what to do. Write your book in laymans terms…..”this is what it is and this is what you should do” for us simple minded people.

I also have a brother that has had a heart attack and is pre-diabetic. He also has high cholesterol. He now feels tired all the time. I’m sure its the medication the doc’s have him on. More simple solutions would be nice other than drugs.

  30. Mike

Hey Shane. Most of my patients are over 50. When quizzed about their diets, the universal answer is “Oh I eat a real healthy diet” (U-Huh) Then I get them to make a diary of EVERYTHING they stuff into their face for 3 days. with the exception of one farmer in South Texas who eats off his land (BP 130 /90 @ age 75)WooWoo, all these folk THINK (based on TV commercials???) that they are eating healthy. I think a strong chapter on raw foods vs. what we are FORCED to consume by marketing would make a great chapter.

  31. Rob Gilmour

I read some of the “Boniva Bitch” posts and I was shocked. Now my wife is diagnosed with rapid osteoporosis and the docs are prescribing. What are the most common causes of bone loss and what is the natural cure?

  32. Lora

    Hi Shane,

We could all use some low cost natural cures as opposed to high cost pseudo cures (aka pharmaceuticals). I’d like to know alot from a chemist like what is the best source of minerals that the body can absorb (dulse, kelp or sea salt – Himalayan or will any do?), should we use fish, flax & olive oil combined or is that overkill. What about algaes (chlorella, astaxanthin) and medicinal mushrooms, which is better or do both? Is raw cocoa really a superfood?, are goji berries worth the cost?

Also, what does it mean if someone has high LDL and high glucose. What is more important homocysteine or c-reactive protein. I could go on and on but you get the idea. Call me, text me, email me. -Lora

  33. George Lowe

    Shane,

it seems to me Heart disease, cancer and diabetes are the top three health problems confronting our nations. A look at these will go a long way in helping millions. Emphasis should be on prevention, but since they are out of control there is urgent need to educate on healing and recovery. Also the facts on natural herbal products seem to be confusing some claification would be welcome.

  34. Ben W

Your thoughts on how to effectively and safely deal with what America has labeled “depression” and “anxiety” (big money makers in the pharma industry) w/o the usual “just take meds” approach.

  35. Melinda Long

Shane, thanks for the invitation to comment.
I’d like to hear about bioidentical hormones, I read just yesterday that diabetes and hormones go hand in hand.
This is a subject being talked about on Dr Phil and Oprah.

Also – the biggest hurdle to weight loss is overcoming the EMOTIONAL cravings. Any thoughts on that?

  36. Dentist Sacramento

Indeed herbal medicine or alternative cure is emerging. They said it is effective, but I think it does not actually cure diseases. It only helps. Prevention is still the best way to keep ourselves from diseases. It’s never too early to start a healthy lifestyle.

  37. Lester

What supplements and vitamins do we really need and how do we know if our bodies are absorbing them or passing them in our wastes? Also, is there a simple way to remember which ones should be taken with food and the others only with water. Finally, which ones interfere with each other and a way to avoid forgetting which ones shouldn’t be mixed.

  38. Yosef

I had a very severe skin rash over large areas and tried Natural treatment, it did not work and had to go to regular medine, it helped a lot BUT it was with Cortizone and that is not good. Be wionderful if you did an article of what to do with a severe skin rash using only natural methods

  39. Jim

Great work Shane. The biggest priority is helping convince people about Big Pharma and that there are often effective alternative solutions and treatments for many illnesses that don’t involve drugs or surgery. Specific topics are; Hepatitis C, cancer and mental disorders.

  40. Marina Skapin

hi love your emails and always pass them on over here in Australia. would really love to know more about the “Eat Right for your Blood Type” what you think about this etx etc. keep up your great work. i hope i did not put this comment in the wrong place. :) Cheers! Marina

  41. TJ

Looking forward to the new book. Ever since my 1st sports physical (9th grade) I was told my blood pressure is a little high. I heard it every year right through college, playing NCAA Div 1 lacrosse. In the best shape of my life, my blood pressure was high. Now more sedentary it’s even higher. I have been treated with drugs that had horrible side effects, from chest pain to anxiety attacks to seeing stars upon exertion. I don’t take them anymore and have tried all sorts of natural alternatives like L-Arginine, L-Citrulline, Quercitin with no success. rather than treating the symptoms with drugs, alcohol is just as effetive BTW, maybe you can talk about the root causes of elevated blood pressure. Why is 120/80 the ideal? Because most people are over that and big pharma says we should all be on drugs?

    Keep up the good work!

  42. Elizabeth

Hi Shane, I would love to see something about Vitamin D & sun exposure. I don’t want to be afraid of the sun & I know we need a healthy dose of vitamin D, even in the winter. What is the truth & how do we get the proper amount in cold winter time?

I’d also love some tips for getting picky kids to eat healthier. Maybe some tips on supplements for keeping kids healthy. Thanks!

  43. Susan

I am sick of watching family and friends cling white knuckled to their Synthroid and Cytomel in bondage to them for the rest of their lives. After being on both of these drugs for 15 years I slowly transferred over to a more natural bovine thyroid supplement, then to Iodine drops and now I simply eat better, exercise and include Maca Root in my daily routine and am off all other thyroid supplements. Why don’t doctors prescribe substances to support and help your thyroid heal itself and not things to make it weaker and weaker? Well, I know the answer…. but it’s very frustrating. Perhaps you could provide your views and over the counter/lifestyle thoughts regarding this important gland and how to heal it naturally. I appreciate all you and your wife do. Thank you for your time, efforts and consideration.

  44. Bob E

    Shane, two thoughts:
    1. Idea for topics to do on your PC Reality show:
+ The Rift between Western Medicine and Natural cures – something that addresses this from a historical and scientific point. I like alot of what I see in natural remedies but there is so little data to support – and it seems like there’s alot of hucksters selling snake oil – which frightens me (and many I know with similar leanings) to hesitiantly listen to the doctor. My brother is food inspector with the FDA and he’s not convinced natural medicine is more than snake oil. So anything you can do to legitimize that AND poke fun at it (tell it like it is) would be a good thing.

    2. Your Image:
First of all, you’re doing a very good thing. Kudos there. I think if you keep the fresher professional appearance you’ll sway more in your audience. I’m no yuppy suck up, we’re about the same age, but right or wrong people do judge on appearances. I like your cleaner set up on the show today, it looked professional. Some of the other videos, where you were being kind of flippant and matter of fact make you come across like some frat mook that’s pissed off with society (and his college prof). Just a thought. What people see on your TV show will bring em closer or push em away, and I’m sure given your manifesto, you’re wanting to get the word out to everyone. Take it for what it’s worth. And keep it up!!

  45. Ron

    Shane,

You seem to be very knowledgeable but what about all that junk you sell in your store? Come on man, are you serious about that stuff?

    Ron

  46. Michael Henderson

I’ve seen and heard you speak and LOVE how you expose big pharma and the FDA (which apparently stands for F*** Dumb Americans since they think we’ll fall for anything they say). Don’t even get me started on their product label trans fat policy. Natural alternatives to prescription medication is also very important to me. It’s refreshing to know someone in the health, wellness & nutrition industry is really on our side. What you teach should be common knowledge, but unfortunately is probably considered radical or anarchy in the mainstream. Keep doing what you’re doing. If you’re ticking off Big Pharma then you know you’re doing something right!

  47. Uncle_Bulldog

    Hi Shane,

Way to go in getting everyone involved! I was hoping you would consider for a topic all the pseudo-supplements that Big Pharma & Ag. try to pass off as natural and healthy. For instance, I am on Armour Thyroid medicine. I know it is natural and made from pig thyroid, but what pigs does it really come from? I worry about the quality. Big names are starting to move into the sweetener market with some kind of stevia product offered at the grocery store. What gives and what should we do/be looking for? Thanks. Oh, and what was your interest in finding various doctors? My wife just finished residency as a D.P.M.

  48. Becky

I would like to see information on alternative supplements that work for someone with artery problems and has stents. Also if certain combinations of supplements taken by someone with heart issues can be a problem. It would also be helpful to find somewhere to get less expensive blood work.

I take fx pain relief and it stops my migraines. Truly a miracle.
    Thanks

  49. admin

    @Ron

“I take fx pain relief and it stops my migraines. Truly a miracle.” – Thanks Becky!

    And another unsolicited from Kathy:

“The man I’m helping has renal cell carcinoma. Five years ago he lost his right kidney to cancer, did not take good care of himself by making changes in his lifestyle, and came to me when he was in severe pain due to, come to find out, a tumor on the interior of his spine. He went through radiation to shrink the tumor, which didn’t work, and went into surgery to remove the tumor. As a result of the surgery, he became a paraplegic. However, I think this condition is temporary, as he has feeling in his legs and feet. We are using DMSO on his back every day.

When I heard that he was on a pain killer, I called his wife to share with her what I had read in Shane’s book “Health Myths Exposed”. She assured me that he wasn’t taking OxyContin, as he knew the dangers. She said that he was taking Percocet. Duh!! A little dose of acetaminophen and oxycodone, anyone?

The hospital then took him off Percocet and put him on morphine, as all cancer patients eventually use morphine. I encouraged him to get off the morphine when I gave him the Relief FX. He has no pain now; his thinking is much improved.”

  50. Kathleen Caldwell

    Shane;
Thank you for your info and passion. About 8 years ago, I was told by a Cardiac “specialist” that I only used 30% of the left side of my heart and that I would be dead in two years or less and there was nothing the dr.s’ could do,”here, take these two pills”, he said. He took me out of the gym, making me an invalid. Instead, I researched nutritional info that would make my heart stronger. I lost 38 lbs to reduce heart stress, took CoQ10 (650mg),Himalayan Goji juice,L-citriline,L-carnitine,L-arginine, Alpha Lipoic Acid to create Nitric Oxide. Today, my 30% ejection fraction pumps 65% of my blood (a low normal), blood pressure is 110/64, labs all perfect at age 53. If I had listened to that Dr., I would be dead now. I also have a new doctor :) . We are currently curing my son of autism (from vaccines) with nutritional cleansing, neural peptides,sound/light frequency therapies,Goji juice. He had no language skills, verbal or auditory, for 4yrs. He is now a high functioning 3rd grader, on his way to a full recovery. I share opportunities for health as much as possible, unfortunately, few will listen.

  51. Jude Ker

I have been using therapeutic essential oils for several years and am amazed by some of the results I’ve personally achieved with them.

Lavender is my favorite, and I mean lavandula augustafolia from the mint family, not the stuff at the drug store.

It’s worked for me on many ailments such as headache, stress, skin abrasions, sleeplessness. My very favorite use of lavender is for burns, especially sunburn. This wonderful oil relieves the pain and speeds healing unlike anything else I’ve ever used. I keep it in the kitchen and I carry it with me everywhere.

Shane, thank you for your thruth and for your straight-forward delivery. I appreciate your work!

  52. Joe

    Shane,

Loved your previous book and love your products. I’d like a little more info on cholesterol. Your book covered a lot, but I still have more questions. I don’t care about my overall total number , but my LDL is too high for comfort. What about the role of fiber?

Also, there are a lot of Whey Protein products out there. I’ve tried yours and like it a lot. I avoid all others with artificial sweeteners. But since I’ve tried to go to 100% grass fed beef, I’m leaning towards a brand that features Whey from grass fed cows. I’d love a section on your website where we could submit products for you to check out and then let us know what you think of them.

Keep up the good work and thanks for the great products!

  53. Roberta

Best wishes for the success of your new book! I’d like to know what you think is useful for the prevention and/or treatment of arthritis or other inflammatory conditions. There are a lot of us baby boomers getting creakier by the year!

  54. Mike

Looking forward to the book. Maybe you could do some videos separating the truth from the hype about coconut oil, chia seeds, hemp seed or nut butters.

  55. Daniel

How about something about what Vitamin C can do for you? Perhaps about Linus Pauling’s work- controlling heart disease, etc. Check out the website at vitamincfoundation.org

  56. Rachel

I would like to know more about the H2O2 “cure” and how it is to be administered orally. I’m also interested in knowing how important it really is to have mercury fillings replaced in teeth. Another thing… what are the best ways to restore vision naturally and eliminate the need for reading glasses.

  57. Bobby

    Hi Shane,
Thanks for always providing us with good info, it really does help.
A couple of topics i would love to see talked about is afib and leaking mitral valves. Dont know if there is any natural cures for these problems, but if there is i would really love to see it talked about
    thanks
    bobby

  58. Pamela Gerry

I really want to know WHY doctors stopped prescribing Nystatin , or some other fungicide, after their patients finished a course of antibiotics. I remember back in the 70′s, when working as a med nurse in Boston hospitals, it was protocol to follow every course of antibiotics with a fungicide, usually Nystatin. Sometime in the later 70′s, this practice just stopped. What happened? Bacterial behavior didn’t change? Could it be that Big Pharma realized that if you nip fungal growth in the ‘bud’, you eliminate your future customer base? Not only that, but “Fungal Pathology” was removed from med school curriculum, and today’s docs seem unable to recognize beginning, intermediate or end-stage fungal conditions.
I’d love to hear your perspective on this issue.

  59. Bob E

I’ve seen alot of folks talk ask about differences between various herbs/vitamins/minerals etc, but my question is what about QUALITY & EFFICACIOUSNESS. Vitamins (etc) are not very well regulated or policed so how does one know if the supplement in question is good quality or a bedpan bullet? And what differs vitamins in how effective they are (ones that come from seashells or organic plants, etc) and is the difference worth it? Bottom line: there are ineffective (crappie) vitamins out there as well as goo ones,, so how do we determine which ones are quality?

  60. Dr. Rich B

Shane, How about preventing inflammation through a balance of Omega 6 vs. Omega 3. All my reading has shown a significant imbalance in 6 vs. 3 to a whopping 20:1 ratio (6:3). We all hear and most of us know that inflammation is the root of all chronic disease. A topic would be grain vs grass fed and include info on wild vs farm raised fish and free range poultry etc. The fact that we indirectly ingest grain through these food sources is unknown to most and this would be something that would raise some eyebrows. Too much omega 6 = increeased inflammation and increased potential for chronic deisease. More omega 3 decreased inflammation and decreased potential for chronic disease.

  61. The People's Chemist

@Bob, Great point on vitamin quality. New book, Over-The-Counter Cures, will be exposing some nasty vitamins marketed as being healthy. AND everyone who purchases the book will get $10,000 worth of lab testing results FREE so that they can verify that they products I chose and recommend are CLEAN!

  62. Larry

I am looking forward to your book and wish it was available sooner. For your PC clips, I would like to see you continue with the natural cures theme and also include factors such as body weight/dosage variations, etc. Also, since Stevia is so mainstream as an alternative sweetner in the US now, which one (brand) is healthy to use and which ones are not even Coke and Pepsi are suppose to be “developing” stevia extracts.

  63. Georgia Brunner

I’m confused regarding the good fats issue. As a Type II diabetic, I am told to avoid all fat as it raises insulin levels and insulin makes you fats. Can you clarify for diabetics?

  64. taffy

I really appreciate what you do! Thank you! I’m familiar w/ Suzanne Somers push for bioidentical hormone treatment. Is it necessary to have our hormone levels checked? And, how can we have healthy hormone levels, by doing it ourselves? Also, is it necessary to supplement our digestive health w/ enzymes or HCL, esp as we get older, as Somers & others suggest? And, could you please have a section in your book on how to avoid skin cancer. You answered this question on your site, but I don’t have the info that you gave. Thanks!

  65. John

Really looking forward to the new book Shane!
I’m wondering if you do a PC clip on antihistamines. When my wife was pregnant, she had severe itching (I know this can happen during pregnancy). It was so bad, she was breaking the skin and bleeding. Today, our son is 2 1/2 years old and she is still suffering from this. Now her doctor is talking about putting her on 2 or even 3 antihistamines. This is down right scary!!! I’m sure there are others out there suffering from similar things so hopefully you can do something about this in the future!

Thanks for all the great info!!!

  66. The People's Chemist

@Georgia, Why are you confused? Is your doctor’s advice working for you. No. That’s because healthy fat DOES NOT RAISE insulin levels. Healthy fats are a major prat of the diabetes cure! Soon to come out in new book, Over-The-Counter Natural Cures.

@Taffy, Great point. Bioidentical use should not be given as a BLANKET recommendation to all women. For women who have not been sliced and diced by Doc (hysterectomy, Hormone Intelligence Therapy (HIT) is first line of defense against poor aging.

@Everyone, Ill work on ALL requests.

@Chuck, Will Oprah drag our fat asses into an early grave just to promote another fad diet plan?

  67. Kellie Poston

I, too, learn a lot from the explanations of HOW our bodies work. I hate to admit it, but I know more about how my computer works than how my own body works. I like learning about the myths. I think that those fat free/sugar free myths are why I feel like I have to work so much harder to lose weight than others (who I THOUGHT were eating unhealthy b/c they ate real butter). I have fallen into the fat free trap and my metabolism is in the toilet. How do I get it back on track and lose the weight without falling off the wagon? I would also like to know more alternatives to the things that make us fat – like stevia instead of splenda (which I ate like crazy – I had no idea!)Your site is great. Keep up the good work!

  68. Glenda Stangel

I sincerely appreciaate your natural cures and your e-mails in my inbox.
I hope you will address AUTO-IMMUNE DISEASES and their cures in your new book, particularly rheumatoid arthritis. Allopathic medicine offers chemotherapy and my joints become even more crippled.

  69. Bridgett - Durango

I am very thankful that I have been directed to your website by your beautiful wife. Your info is always helpful.
-I wonder if we can preorder your book for delivery when available??
-Also, I would like to hear more about neurological cures especially for younger people, like MS? Parkinsons, Celiac’s disease, & autism (not sure if they’re all neurological, but they’re really being diagnosed alot)
-Also, can you list some of the foods, or coconut oils, etc or other websites that you feel are good enough and agree with. Like you did w/ the UV Naturals sunscreens, and Nordic naturals? For instance, I buy my coconut oil from tropicaltraditions.com as they do not use COPRA in any of theirs, but would love to know what you think is best and have plenty of organic choices.
-Also, links to other researchers that you agree with? For instance, http://www.westonaprice.org who appears to me to absolutely agree with all you say might have another take on the same info and more detailed research on their website for those of us who like that kind of stuff.
-Another thing that would help when trying to make healthy choices is to know what order of things are in from bad to horrible? Can you tell me more about natural, raw honey vs. agave or fructose vs. granulated sugar? I understand that all sugars are bad, but if you are forced to make decisions, is there a less bad version of some of these things?? Or pasteurized milk vs raw milk?? I hear the fat is changed when homogenized, and is a little bit of raw milk from a grass-fed cow too much sugar for my kids? If so, how many oz per day is OK? Dont different kinds of sugar absorb at different rates?
OK – overkill, I’ll stop there.
Good luck w/ the new book.

Hi Shane! I have been enjoying your website and video clips. I am curious what your thought is on a couple of things that I am into right now. How do you feel about organic? I hear you talk a lot about meat, eggs, and butter, but don’t necessarily hear you recommend organic. Also, what is your take on eating an alkaline based diet?
How do you feel about herbal tea between meals?
Finally, I’m trying to restructure my diet a bit and I am curious what LeeAnn’s typical breakfast looks like…I need to find a good combination to hold me over for 4 hours…I am fairly busy and active all day.
    Thanks and love your passion!

Hi Shane! I was wondering what places in town (Durango) carry your products?

  72. john

hello shane. do you have any suggestions for relief of BPH symptoms. havent noticed any in your blogs. would certainly interest a lot of older men.regards

  73. Ruth

After watching the video on Oprah’s Fat Loss Tips, I watched the other clips on that page. The one titled " Sleep Like a Drunken Bum Naturally " was barely audible with my sound turned high, so I have no clue what you were talking about. You may want to remake that one with the same equipment used for the others I watched. I hope I’m not the only one who had that problem. Thanks for your tips. I have your book on cholesterol myths and am interested in learning all I can. Age is just a number. Mine is 83. I had to quit Crestor because I was developing neuropathy under my toes. I’m using grape juice and Certo (fruit pectin) to relieve an arthritic knee. Natural means of healing appeal to me. Ruth

I’m excited about your new book. My question is also about supplements, how can the common folk tell what’s real and what’s not. Also would like to know more about l-glutamine? And do you have an opinion about a product called Cellucor?

  75. James

There are many, many good suggestions already posted. At the risk of repeating some, I’d include chapters on the following:

    1. Vaccinations: Why they are a load of crap and dangerous.
    2. Vitamins: Synthetic (like Ascorbic Acid) versus raw foods variety.
    3. Fluoridation: The toxic dumping of our municipal water supplies.
    4. Raw versus Cooked Foods: Why overcooking robs foods of healthy enzymes and why Raw Milk rocks.
    5. Colon Cleansing: The need to expel toxicity from years of eating processed foods.
    6. Soy: One of the greatest “good food” lies ever sold.
    7. Denistry: Mercury in amalgams is still toxic to your mind.
    8. Edward Bernays: The father of spin and why we believe so much bull
    9. Swine Flu and Other Monumental Lies: Why you must question every position from the FDA, CDC, AMA, and other government sponsored propaganda machines.

Can’t wait for the book. Your work is refreshing, insightful and honest.

Keep ‘em coming! Great stuff. And I’m excited to say that 90% of the things mentioned here are COVERED IN UPCOMING book!

Beware: This won’t be a rehash of the natural cure gimmicks that run rampant online. Nor will I beat a dead horse and regurgitate the well-known atrocities committed by Big Pharma. My new book will change it all. Are you ready to Live Healthier for Less?

You’ll learn of the evolving science behind nutrient logic and how it can beat cancer, and tons more. You’ll learn the 4 criteria for choosing the right sweetener. You’ll learn about nasty natural sweeteners. You’ll learn how to overcome bad blood and diabetes. You’ll learn how big pharma is disguising sythetic vitamins as daily essentials! The list goes on. Get ready!

I have a plan that requires your help once again. Big prizes! Think “Good Doc Bad Doc” Contest. Any guesses?

  77. Esther

Love your video’s. Keep them coming.

I would like to know if there is a natural supplement to cure ADHD
    instead of the hard drugs.

Also if there is something to take to
    help with depression?

    Thanks

    Newby! love this site!!!!!
how bout delving into gene testing and does it truly matter? BRCA2 in my family- we bit into the cancer buzz and b.s. big time- by getting gene tested after I got breast cancer 10 years earlier than my mom.Once you have the gene- you are basically a “lepper” and have a hec of a time fighting the establishment. My sister had a double mast without a trace of cancer.. stop the paranoia of women’s body butchery!
    Also interested in homeopathy?
and bio-identical hormones.. even with the evil gene….I WANT MY HORMONES!!!!

More topic suggestions: the dangers of chemotherapy drugs, how vaccines give a higher risk of death to the patient than from the disease itself, mercury in vaccines, how pharmaceutical drug companies create more and more diseases/illnesses – saw a commercial that said even mild acne is a medical condition…”talk to your doctor”, high mark-up on price of pharmaceutical drugs, cell phones and brain tumors, cats and schizophrenia, increase in allergies such as to gluten & dairy products, GMO products -is it true that the barcodes start with an 8, foods imported from other countries, how the average American are on 3 more meds, how more and more people are getting Alzheimer’s disease even at a younger age, MSG still in a lot of foods – also termed as yeast extract or hydrolyzed vegetable protein, sodium nitrate, adrenal glands overstimulated/stressed more common, how to tone up endocrine system, how food label ingredients now state “sugar and/or high-fructose corn syrup, and corn a man-made food that changes body chemistry.

As with a few of your other posters above, I too am interested in your take on body pH, alkalinity vs. acid, alkaline water, etc. Over the years, I’ve read a lot by Dr. Robert O. Young such as “Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired, The pH Miracle, and The pH Miracle for Diabetics (Type 1 & 2). As he is also into eating clean and anti big pharma, much of what you write rings true in the same way that Dr. Young’s writings do for me. You both share many anti-establishment views and a healthy dose of concern for your fellow man (and woman).Thanks.

Thanks for your dedication to obtaining good health natuarally. In what way does yeast affect the heart? Can palpitations be caused by Candida? Do you think that Diflucan causes palpitations due to its chemical makeup or because of yeast die-off? Thanks for your help.

  82. Bob O

I can’t wait for your book. I just hope the government doesn’t try to shut you down. You know if you catch on with the people you’ll hurt their pocketbooks quite a bit and they don’t like that. I hope you get the chance to change the health industry so that so many people don’t have to suffer and die.

  83. James

Adding to my list above, I would like to see something on the following:

    10. Calorie Counting: Why just counting calories can lead to major fatness.
    11. Ingredients: Decoding all the scientific sounding ingredients found in everyday foods.
    12. Organic versus Chemical: The real difference between eating untainted (read: clean) versus chemically altered foods.
    13. Food Economy: Why eating cheap toxic garbage from MacDonalds cost more than eating more expensive real foods from a quality grocer and why switching where your dollar goes will eventually lower the purchase costs of real foods.

    Hi Shane,
it would be great if you could include a small section on sports nutrition- the best things to eat before, during and after training or competion. Take care.

  86. Terry

    Dear Shane,

I don’t know if this has been covered but according to some of the statistics I’ve been reading on the web, especially on alternative health sites that advocate eating organically and grass fed animals, a lot of ill health stems from parasites and the mytotoxins left behind from dieoff and their waste product. Some of the parasites, viruses, and bacteria are considered stealth and are hard to get rid of because their outer shell is difficult to penetrate. An example of this would be lyme disease.

There are a few protocols to rid our bodies of the mytotoxins and the cause but, they are extremely expensive. I also wonder about their effectivity.

I respect a lot of what you have to say and would like to see you cover or research this topic and report your findings, which, would include some sort of protocol (inexpensive?).

If you pick my topic, please donate the $100 and give me free access to the information.

  87. nancy

WHAT”S UP with the contact phone numbers? I have questions about my order, $200 or more.
    Someone please help-
    thank you-

  88. The People's Chemist

@Bob E. You are the winner and I have $100 bucks to send you. You asked, “Bottom line: there are ineffective (crappie) vitamins out there as well as goo ones,, so how do we determine which ones are quality?”

GREAT question that few ask, even those who sell supplements!

Email us at support@thepeopleschemist.com with your address. Look for the PC Reality TV that address’ this. It will be on blog soon.

    Best,
    Shane

PS New book, Over-The-Counter Natural Cures is OUT! Yea!

  89. Stacie Jacobus

    Hi Shane:
I love the book. Just have one question. You recommend Nature’s Bounty ALCAR. However, one of the ingredients is titanium dioxide. Is this okay?? I know this is put in sunscreen. What are your thoughts??
