Vaccine Myths Exposed: Healthy Jab or Deadly Stab?

June 15th, 2008

Vaccines are purported to work by triggering immunity. It is “thunk” by the experts that by exposing our immune system to weak or dead infectious agents, such as measles or a flu virus, that it creates the appropriate defense.  This logic has been used to defend the use of every vaccine to date.  And each one has proven that the theory is nothing more than mental masturbation for nerdy scientists; it sounds good and feels better, but it’s not the real thing.  At best, vaccines only boost our defenses 30% of the time, which hardly compensates for the myriad of potential side effects.  Few people are aware of – or willing to accept - these cold, hard facts.

How Sunshine Can Help Make Your Workouts More Effective

June 7th, 2008

It’s frustrating to watch obese people suffer in the gym and receive absolutely no benefit.

Eventually they give up.  It doesn’t have to be like this.  In fact, if they learn how to use one miracle substance properly, they could go to the gym less and have a lot more to show for it - including mega fat loss and lean, sexy muscle.

That miracle substance is sunshine!  Proper sun exposure plays a crucial role in ensuring that your body responds to exercise.  It helps by increasing insulin sensitivity.  The primary mechanism involved is the production of a neuropeptide known as MSH - melanocyte stimulating hormone - and vitamin D.  Combined, these “youthanizing” biochemicals help to lower levels of the fat storing hormone insulin.  And sunshine is the only thing that can force our bodies to produce them in the right quantity and ratio.

Lowering insulin during exercise also guarantees a boost in age-defying hormones known as human growth hormone, testosterone, and IGF-1.  Without sunshine, you could be wasting valuable time in the gym due to high insulin levels.  Going to the gym with high insulin would be like trying to fight cancer while being exposed to Agent Orange.  Insulin inhibits the release of age-defying hormones as well as our fat burning compounds known as catecholamines.

Proper sun exposure simply means that you expose 80% of your body to direct sunlight for 20 to 40 minutes every other day.  Make this happen and you’ll enjoy rewarding workouts met with fat loss and muscle gain.

All Natural Deep Sleep Aid: Sleep Like a Drunken Bum

May 29th, 2008

Beware of my wife’s loud, sarcastic laugh.  I almost fell asleep while she figured out how to use the camera.  We usually have our 6 year old daughter run the technical operations, but she was sleeping.

Here is the recipe for those who can’t hear the audio:

Folic acid 800 mcg in morning (if over 200lbs, then 1200mcg)

2 hours before planned bedtime:

Ribose 5 grams (if over 200lbs, then 7.5 grams)
SerotoninFX (1 capsule per 50lbs of body weight)
Valerian (1 500mg capsule per 50lbs of bodyweight)

Stir in with purified water.  Drink.  Sleep like a drunken bum.
Wake up feeling energized and refreshed.

Most Important Health Habit for the Entire Family

May 27th, 2008

Raising children is the most challenging and rewarding thing I’ve ever done.  And, while my wife and I have very different parenting strategies, we both agree on one thing: Give the kids lots of sun exposure and never slather chemical sunscreen on them.  Here are three reasons why:

1. Sunscreen blocks the production of melanin (pigment causing a protective tan to form) resulting in higher risk of skin cancer.

2. Sunscreen blocks the production of vitamin D. A deficiency of vitamin D weakens the immune system and increases the risk of heart disease and cancer. In children especially, vitamin D deficiency is also correlated with tooth decay and crooked teeth.

3. Many of the chemicals found in sunscreens are actually carcinogenic (cancer causing) and estrogenic. If you see any of the following ingredients, steer clear: Benzophenones (dixoybenzone, oxybenzone), PABA and PABA esters (ethyl dihydroxy propyl PAB,  glyceryl PABA, p-aminobenzoic acid, padimate-O or octyl dimethyl PABA), Cinnamates (cinoxate, ethylhexyl p-methoxycinnamate, octocrylene, octyl methoxycinnamate), Salicylates (ethylhexyl salicylate, homosalate, octyl salicylate), Digalloyl trioleate, Menthyl anthranilate, and Avobenzone.

Contrary to what sunscreen manufacturers wish you to believe, sunshine is not a death ray. It is a healing ray. Here are four main benefits of sun exposure:

1. It boosts neuropeptides that boost our mood and regulate appetite.

2. It reduces risk of the deadly skin cancer melanoma and 16 other types of cancer.

3. It reduces the risk of osteoporosis and increases bone density courtesy of enhanced "mineralization."

4. It increases sex drive. Not that I want my kids libido to be rockin’ but this is good info for the Dad who needs to get his bedroom energy back.

Note that I am not suggesting that you or your kids should ever get sunburned. You can definitely get too much of a good thing. Use clothing to block the sun or go indoors if your skin is getting pink. There are also several natural sunscreens on the market  The best I have found is a brand called UV Naturals.  Not only does it protect your skin from excess sun exposure, it also helps your skin look and feel younger with "youthanizers."  They include green tea extract, bees wax, vitamin E and grape seed oil.  I tested it on my kids recently in Delray Beach, Florida.  Worked perfectly.

Streamline Your Workouts - Fast Exercise for Fast Results

May 19th, 2008

Not everyone has the time to stay in the gym long enough to work every muscle group individually.

Today’s lifestyles leave minimal time for some. However there is a way to hit most of the muscle groups at the same time by using multi joint movements. Workable strength is enhanced by using this method anyway.

The three main exercises will be the Dead lift, Squat and the Bench press. The Dead lift works the lower and upper back, the hamstrings, traps and the forearms and abs to some extent.

The squat works, not only the quads and hamstrings, but the calves, lower back, abs and glutes too.

The flat bench, done with a variety of widths and ascent paths will hit a myriad of muscle groups in the upper torso including Pecs, triceps, anterior and medial heads of the shoulders, Lats, and the brachialis muscles in the middle of the upper arm.

To give these exercises priority will leave very few isolation movements to complete a total body workout. Just twice a week, spending an average of 90 minutes, will show great results for minimal time spent. Add curls, sit ups and some sort of rear delt movement and you’ll be working every muscle group in a very efficient and time saving way.

Readers Digest and Hormone Intelligence Therapy (HIT)

May 13th, 2008

"How much you weigh and how old you are have a major effect on cancer risk" showed Readers Digest.  They continued, "You can’t change your age but you can change your weight."

Obesity and cancer go hand in hand thanks to being "nurtured" by the same  hormone; Insulin.  Insulin causes our body to store fat.  It also helps cancer cells flourish.  Beat obesity and you could very well beat cancer by learning how to control the one hormone that gives rise to both.  At the very least, this should be your number one method of prevention.  I call it Hormone Intelligence Therapy (HIT).

As a HIT man or women, you learn to control insulin in order to boost those hormones that ward off obesity, blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack and cancer.

Readers Digest nailed it when they said, "Excess fat is linked to 6 types of cancer.  Obese men are twice as likely to die as thinner patients."

I almost suffered these ghastly consequences.  You can see my photos and learn how to become a HIT man or women here.

Vitamin Side-Effects

May 10th, 2008

Too much of anything can kill you, even vitamins.  Vitamin A serves as a poignant example.  In the early 1960’s, scientists found that vitamin A boosted immunity and prevented blindness in third world countries.  A study in Indonesia showed that vitamin A supplementation prevented up to a whopping 50% of childhood deaths caused by disease.  As people began to learn of its benefits, supplementation became common.  As use became widespread, scientists discovered vitamin overdose – too much of a good thing.

Excess vitamin A has been shown to occur at a mere 20mg per day.  Symptoms include water in the brain (hydrocephalus), vomiting, tiredness, constipation, bone pain, and severe headaches.  Dry pale skin also occurs.  To prevent it, chemists began looking at vitamin A precursors.

Surprisingly, the human body uses beta-carotene to produce vitamin A, but only when it needs it!  Utilizing its “natural intelligence,” the body uses a complex set of enzymatic reactions to ensure that you have plenty of vitamin A courtesy of beta-carotene.  The best sources for beta carotene are sweet potatoes, spinach and goji berries.

High Fat Diet: One Cure for Many Ills

May 7th, 2008

Most people in the USA feed their pets better than they do themselves.  That’s because the self-appointed health gurus have made a mockery of science and chosen to market thier own agenda for profit.  They teach worthless eating habits while profiting immensly.  Type "fat loss diets" on google and an entire list of "top dumb-asses" pops up.  Amateur hour, these hucksters can’t tell you the difference between thermogenesis, lypolyis and gluconeogenesis.   But every now and then, a bright ray of truth busts its way through the media.

I almost choked on my organic coffee when I read this mornings New York Times headline:  Evidence: a High-Fat Diet Works to Treat Epilepsy.  WOW!  Someone has actually climbed the mountain of scams to see the light!  Man isn’t a total idiot.

Its true, high fat treats epilepsy.  But it also treats obesity, type II diabetes and heart disease!  I’ve written about the phenomenon as Hormone Intelligence Therapy (HIT) and Hidden Weapons of Fat Destruction.

The New York Times article nailed it when they said, "the diet appears to work by throwing the body into ketosis, forcing it to burn fat rather than sugar for energy."

Our body is like a hybrid car that uses two types of fuel.  It can use either fat or sugar.  If sugar, you store fat and grow ill.  If using fat, you Live Young courtesy of fat burning and a SURGE in life enhancing hormone production - hence HIT.  Most people are sugar burners.  Learn to be a fat burner here: http://www.thepeopleschemist.com/obesity_cure.php
