The People’s Chemist Body Bar: Real Food for Real Muscle

Look around the gym sometime. The people who look the fittest and stand out the most, aren’t drinking Vitamin Water or munching a Sports Bar. Otherwise, here are five things that suck about sports bars and a good replacement:

Now, I understand the need for convenience. So here is my solution: “The People’s Chemist Approved” Body Bar. Yes, they are the bomb, caloric bomb that is, so read the warning below.
This recipe will make 24 bars. ONE bar is a serving. Not FIVE!
Sugar (from dark chocolate, blueberries and bananas): 6
2 mashed bananas
3 cups instant oats
4 tbs ground flax seed
6-8 scoops Whey Advanced Silk Chocolate
½ cup almond butter
½ cup coconut oil (melted)
½ cup water
4 tbs dark chocolate chunks
½ cup dried blueberries
Mix everything together except the chocolate chunks. This will work best if you add and mix one ingredient at a time. It’s very sticky. Line a 9 x 13 pan with foil or wax paper. I like the wax paper best. Add mixed ingredients to the pan, spread. Melt the chocolate chunks in a pan and add a little water as you go so it stays creamy and doesn’t harden. Spread the chocolate over the spread and freeze for at least 2 hours. Thaw for 5 minutes, cut into bars. Enjoy.
